WHO WE ARE
Sunrise CT is a youth-led organisation focused on stopping climate change, ensuring environmental justice, and creating thousands of good jobs in the process. We mobilise youth across our state to demand climate action at the scale we need by lobbying elected officials for equitable policy changes, organising strikes and other direct actions, campaigning for climate champions, and partnering with community-based organisations at the intersections of environmental and social justice.
WHAT WE DO
EDUCATE
We speak with young people about the disproportionate impact the climate crisis is having in our state, focusing on how we can fight eco-anxiety and take bold action.
MOBILIZE
We give young people the tools to raise their voices and organize for climate action statewide and in their local communities.
ADVOCATE
We lobby the Connecticut General Assembly and other public officials for immediate and drastic climate action at the scale that this moment requires.
