WHO WE ARE
Sunrise CT
Sunrise CT is a hub of the national Sunrise Movement, a youth led organization focused stopping climate change and creating millions of good jobs in the process. Here in CT, we are mobilizing youth from across the state to demand immediate and drastic climate action. We push for state wide policies and legislation that address climate change and intersectional social justice issues; organize events such as climate strikes that bring attention to the climate crisis and build political power; and endorse/campaign for elected officials running for political office.
WHAT WE DO
EDUCATE
We speak with young people and community members about the climate crisis and how people can get involved to take action.
MOBILIZE
We mobilize young people and communities to advocate for climate action in CT and in their local communities.
ADVOCATE
We lobby the CT State Legislature and other elected officials for immediate and drastic climate action at the scale of the climate crisis.
