Meet the Sunrise CT Team
MAEBEL HAYNES
SHE/HER
Director
Maebel Haynes joined Sunrise Movement in 2021 and has been involved in the local, state, and national levels of Sunrise Movement. She is currently a freshman as Eastern Connecticut State University and is looking to get her bachelors in Political Science. In her spare time she swims and draws when she can. Outside of Sunrise she has a part time job as a lifeguard. Her favorite part of Sunrise is getting other young people excited about politics. A fun fact about her is that she was a dancer for 10 years.
MEAGAN MOORE
SHE/HER
Policy & Science Support Lead
Dr. Meagan Moore has a PhD in Atmospheric Chemistry. Her dissertation focused on how the chemistry of air pollution can affect cloud formation, a key part of understanding climate change. She is a mother of two young kids and loves supporting the youth-led aspect of Sunrise. When she is not chasing her kids around, she enjoys reading and trying to naturalize her yard.
PARKERÂ THIBAULT

Media Lead
Parker Thibault specializes in all things content and media, from creating music videos and promos professionally, to creating music in his free time. It is his goal to create media that will unify others by embodying service, compassion, and wisdom
MAX CORETTO

Finance Director
Max Coretto grew up in Westchester, NY and moved to Connecticut after school where he is an engineer by day, and has landed in Windsor, CT. Max joined Sunrise CT in 2020 after being inspired by Kimmy's All We Can Save book club, and realizing that the Climate Crisis is about a lot more than just protecting Nature, but also protecting our neighbors, communities, and the most vulnerable among us.
