Meet the Sunrise CT Team
KIMBERLY REINDL

Co-Director
Kimmy Reindl joined Sunrise in 2020 after reading All We Can Save with her book club and learning about how the climate crisis exacerbates all of the issues she cares deeply about. Kimmy grew up in Sterling, CT and is an alum of Plainfield High School and the University of Connecticut. She is a resident of Windsor and works as an engineer while learning how she can bring an environmental justice lens everywhere she goes.
CLARA DEWEY

Clara joined Sunrise during 2021 as part of the All We Can Save book club and is excited to be part of the team! She is a California-to-Connecticut transplant living in New Haven. She has worked as an engineer for a sustainable materials firm beforehand and is now exploring the public policy and grassroots organizing side of climate work. In her spare time she loves to read solarpunk books!
MAEBEL HAYNES

Maebel Haynes is Senior at Litchfield High School and has been involved in Sunrise at some level since 2021. She has also been a part of Sunrise Movement National and started Sunrise Storrs in 2022. After high school, she is planning on going to college for a degree in political science/public policy and sustainability (and hopefully swimming for the college!)
MCKENA CLEMONS

Communications Lead
McKena Clemons is a High School student who inspires other through her words, whether it is poetry reading or rally speaking. McKena's a published poet and activist for equity within the school system and legislative system. She is one of Sunrise CT Instagram admin and is apart of the leadership family. Mckena plans to continue her education with a focus in political science and communications. "The time is not tomorrow. The time is today. Act today." -MC

AMELIA KEARNEY

Communications Lead
Amelia Kearney is an 19-year-old college student from Burlington CT who joined Sunrise in early 2021. Her love of nature and the world has inspired her to take action as a climate activist. She hopes to be a part of the change that needs to be done in CT and beyond to create a more sustainable and just world. Amelia plans to study Environmental Science in college and hopes to combine her love of nature with science, journalism, and activism to help combat climate change and protect natural areas around the world.
MAX CORETTO

Finance Director
Max Coretto grew up in Westchester, NY and moved to Connecticut after school where he is an engineer by day, and has landed in Windsor, CT. Max joined Sunrise CT in 2020 after being inspired by Kimmy's All We Can Save book club, and realizing that the Climate Crisis is about a lot more than just protecting Nature, but also protecting our neighbors, communities, and the most vulnerable among us.

Media Lead
Parker Thibault specializes in all things content and media, from creating music videos and promos professionally, to creating music in his free time. It is his goal to create media that will unify others by embodying service, compassion, and wisdom
